This was the first specific Heelwork to Music Society in this country, founded in 2000 by Kay Laurence. Since then the association has held several shows annually and promoted the sport through other activities in particular the Progress Award Scheme.
The aims of the Association are to promote understanding and knowledge of dogs, good training methods and handler skills, the importance of musical interpretation, which is unique to this canine sport, where at all times the health and welfare of the dog is paramount – its age, structure, conformation and physical capabilities. PnM also works towards the inclusion in this sport of handlers of all ages and abilities including wheel chairs users.
It currently holds 3 Kennel Club licensed shows annually, carefully located in different parts of the country and each with qualifying classes in Heelwork and Freestyle for the Crufts semi-finals.
Further information about this Association can be found on the website together with information about Progress Awards, shows, results, articles membership etc.
